Central Government Confirms Letter by Andhra Pradesh Election Commissioner Ramesh KumarThe drama and confusion about State Election Commissioner N Ramesh Kumar to the Union Government are now over. Minister of State, Home Affairs, Kishan Reddy today confirmed to the media that the letter had reached the Home Secretary and the actions are being taken.

“The letter was written to our Home Secretary. He also talked to the Chief Secretary. We seeking the information on a real-time basis. He is currently in Hyderabad and has security here. Whenever he goes to Andhra Pradesh, he should get full and fool-proof security, we asked the Chief Secretary,” Kishan Reddy said.

“We will give written instructions today if needed. Every employee should be given the freedom to exercise his/her duties. To threaten him is not good,” Kishan Reddy added. Ramesh Kumar in the letter made severe allegations on the Ruling Party in Andhra Pradesh.

He also reported mass irregularities in the local elections and also raised doubts about the massive unanimous results. Ramesh informed the Home Ministry that he and his family is at risk in Andhra Pradesh and should be given protection by the central forces.
