Central Goverment Continues to Confuse Telugu StatesUnion Home Ministry’s Orders about Sharing of assets and liabilities reached both the state governments. Interestingly the orders are only about sharing of movable and immovable assets of APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education).

They make no mention about the control of 142 common institutions listed under Schedule X of the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014, which are mostly located in Hyderabad in Telangana State. It is not clear if the same is applicable to all the institutions.

In the case of APSCHE, the Home Ministry ordered the assets to be divided on the basis of their location while the bank deposits on the population basis. Such orders if for all the 142 institutions will benefit Telangana. AP government is likely to approach Supreme once again in such case.
