Center's Indirect Message Shocks YSR Congress Rank and FileCBI has firmly opposed giving any exemption to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy from Personal Appearances in the Graft Cases pending on him. CBI has made stern remarks in the counter it has filed. The agency accused of Jagan trying to influence the witnesses when he is in jail and feared he could do that again being in Power.

It also brought to the notice of the court that the Supreme Court has opined that cases of Quid Pro Quo including that of Jagan are very dangerous to the country and deserve special attention. CBI appealed to the court not to give any exemption on the grounds of his busy schedule or the State’s Financial Condition.

“Coming from Amaravati to Hyderabad once a week should not be difficult,” CBI said. This has come as a shock to YSR Congress because the party was expecting the CBI to be lenient in this given that they are trying to be as meek as possible with the Central Government.

Political Experts say that this may be also an indication of things to come for Jagan Reddy. YSR Congress until now felt that it should be very easy to get the exemption but as things stand today, it is not easy. If at all the court rejects the plea, it will be politically very damaging for Jagan to attend the court every Friday.
