Union Government has contributed 809.33 Crore for Amaravati till March 31st this year. Center has given 1050 Crore for Amaravati till date. The state government has submitted the utilization certificates for the Union Government for the expenses made.
The state government has used 401.81 Crore for the Interim Secretariat and Assembly, 292.93 Crore for Roads, 49.83 Crore for Electricity Works, 10.87 Crore for Water, Drainage and Storm Water maintenance and 53.89 Crore for Emergency facilities in Assembly.
Union Minister of State, Finance, Corporate Affairs, Arjun Ram Meghwal revealed this for a question asked by Congress MP, MA Khan in Rajya Sabha. According to AP Reorganization Act, Center has to bear the complete expense of the Capital but BJP government has gone back on the promise.
