The Central government has agreed to give 65 MW power to Andhra Pradesh. It is said that Central government faltered in calculating the power usage of Andhra Pradesh in the AP reorganization bill-2013 and is allotting this power to make up for its mistake. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu has explained the mistake to Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal in his Delhi visit couple of days ago.

The Center had also agreed allocate 4 Lakh tonnes of coal for the thermal power plants in Andhra Pradesh state. These allocations will be done from the Western Coal fields. Chandra Babu Naidu had cut short his Delhi trip due to the GAIL Gas pipeline mishap in East Godavari. He will once again go to Delhi in the next week when things settle down in the state.
