Center shook with the percentage of power losses over the country ranging 4 percent to 94 percent due to power theft and technical issues. Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, and Jharkhand are on the top list which had highest power losses over the country.
Center charged the states to bring the power losses down below 10% within 6 months. About 4,041 towns were targeted on controlling the power losses by the Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal with the other officials who have reviewed and monitored the issue using the data collected from UrjaIndia app maintained by the center.
Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada had the least power losses which are 4.1 and 4.3% respectively which put the cities on the safe side and easier to get the power losses in less time. This would be a great task for the Jharkhand, UP & Bihar for they have up to 90% loses.
