Center says No to additional details on T-Bill

The Central Government seems adamant in its approach to the creation of Telangana bill. Recently Lok Satta’s Jaya Prakash Narayana and other MLAs have requested for some other details in the Telangana bill like Statement of Object and Reasons for the state bifurcation, financial memorandum explaining allocation of funds for the proposed capital for the Seema Andhra region, Polavaram project and educational instiutions like IIT, IIM and other projects. They made it clear that the discussion on the bill is not feasible unless the above details are furnished.

However, the Union Home Ministry rejected the plea. The categorically stated that it is the prerogative of Parliament to consider the amendments and the sought details are not required at the present stage. The Ministry also told that the Once the views of Assembly were received after January 23rd, the draft Bill would be finalised and presented in the Parliament. This statement by the home ministry will no doubt ignite Seema Andhra people further
