Center Reveals The Details of Funds Given to TelanganaIn a question posed by Telangana Congress MP Komatreddy Venkat Reddy, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman gave a written reply about the details of funds given by the Central Government for the state of Telangana. She mentioned that Telangana is a Revenue Surplus state in 2014-15 but its loans have increased gradually.

Telangana has got 85,013 Crore as the share in the Central Taxes, 1289.04 Crore from the States Disaster Management Fund, 1916 Crore towards the Assistance to Backward Districts, 3853 Crore from Union Rural Development Ministry,” Nirmala Sitharaman said.

She also added, “Telangana has received another 51,298.84 Crore from Centrally Sponsored Schemes, Grant-in-aid, 1500.54 Crore from Women and Child Development Ministry”. It is always a point of debate about what Center did for Telangana between TRS and BJP.

But TRS says that all these are statutory allotments and Telangana did not get anything in addition when compared to the other states.
