Center Finds Mantra To Evade Bifurcation PromisesThe Union Government the other day, has filed an affidavit in Supreme Court saying that Bayyaram and Kadapa Steel Plants in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh respectively are not feasible and they cannot be set up there. This is in response to a case filed by Ponguleti Sudhakar in the Supreme Court.

Center told the court that they have already informed the same to the Governments but conducted another feasibility studies on their insistence. The Center also told that court that AP Reorganization Act only asked to check the feasibility and so there is nothing like violation of the Act.

This seems to be the new mantra for the Central Government going forward with respect to Bifurcation Promises. Most of the promises made to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in the poorly conceived act of then UPA Government speaks only about ‘Shall Examine’ and ‘Shall Do’.

The Center will now go back on all these promises citing technical reasons. If Congress has come up with a Bad Act back then, BJP is making it worse by exploiting the loopholes in it. Resorting to such cheap tactics, now the BJP wants to grow and come to Power in both the Telugu States.
