Singapore Government Companies have been finalized as the Master Developer for the development of 6.84 square km start-up area in Amaravati capital city on Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode. The consortium will develop 1691 acres in Amaravati region and will attract international investments there.
But then, the project is not moving anywhere in months as the central government is playing a spoilsport. Minister Narayana had indirectly hinted about it. “Singapore’s is a Central Government and ours is a State Government. That is the problem,” Narayana said.
“Anything should happen through the central government. We are working to make that happen,” Narayana added stopping short of saying that the center is slowing down the project. The state government will have to create basic infrastructure in the area to be developed.
