animal resource centerNational Animal Resource Facility (NARF) for Biomedical Research will be the new prestigious institute lining up for newly formed Telangana State. The centre will be set up by Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR). The Union Cabinet approved this proposal on Wednesday.

The centre will create, develop and provide the technological resource that needs to cater the Bio medical fields. It is first of its kind of research centre in India.This will be develop special class of animals that require testing at R&D centres. The centre will also provide the training facility for personal in specialised areas.

This is expected to completed and ready to be operational by 2018-19. T Government allotted 102.69 acres of land at Genome Valley, Hyderabad at free of cost. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare had allotted Rs 338.58 crores for this facility.
