Center-Adds-Twist-to-TSRTC--ControversyAssistant Solicitor General Rajeshwar Rao appeared before the High Court today representing the Union Government. He informed the court that the bifurcation of APSRTC is yet to be completed and there is no permission for the reorganization of the RTC from the Union Government.

“The Union Government has a 33% stake in APSRTC. Since the reorganization is not done. the Center’s share does not automatically transfer to Telangana RTC,” the Assistant Solicitor General told that court. RTC MD informed the court that TSRTC is formed using Section 3 in Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act.

“We sought the permission of the central government regarding the same but it is still pending,” the RTC MD told. The court questioned how TSRTC is formed when the issue is pending with the Central Government. The court also opined that the officials are trying to mislead the court and the people with fake numbers.

The court posted the next hearing of the case to the 14th of this month.
