ys jagan mohan reddy assets case cbiDuring the tenure of the late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh from 2004 to 2009, his son Y S Jaganmohan Reddy allegedly amassed a huge amount of illegal money as quid pro quo investments. This is now a case being handled by the CBI and a special CBI court recently gave out the word of devoting a whole day every week for the investigations on this case.

There are several pending cases against Jagan for accumulating several crores of wealth by misusing the office of his late father in his term as a CM. The Hyderabad High Court issued directions to speed up the investigations in this case after being urged by advocate Y Vedavyas which led to the decision of assigning the Fridays to this case.

Vedvyas, who is from Vijayawada, has filed a PIL demanding the quicker hearing of cases involving any MPs and MLAs under the 1988 Act of Prevention of Corruption.
