CBI Vivekananda Reddy Murder CaseOn Wednesday, CBI filed a counter in the Telangana High Court opposing the bail petition of Sunil Yadav, the prime accused of Vivekananda Reddy‘s murder. According to CBI, Avinash Reddy and his father Bhaskara Reddy had major political differences with Vivekananda Reddy.

CBI states, “Vivekananda Reddy wanted to contest the Lok Sabha seat from Kadapa and wanted a ticket from the YSR Congress. Vivekananda Reddy had sought the ticket to YS Vijayamma or Sharmila if he was not given the ticket. Vivekananda Reddy’s demands angered Avinash Reddy and Bhaskara Reddy.”

The CBI further said that the father-son duo conspired to eliminate Vivekananda Reddy to clear the way for Avinash Reddy to contest for the Kadapa Parliament seat. CBI mentioned in the counter that the father & son then conspired with Sivashankar Reddy to eliminate Vivekananda Reddy.

The CBI will once again question Avinash Reddy and Bhaskar Reddy on February 23 and 24. This is the second time that the CBI sleuths will be questioning Avinash Reddy. The first round of questioning him was completed on January 28.

CBI states, “The task of eliminating Vivekananda Reddy was assigned to Sunil Yadav. He along with other accused had killed Vivekananda Reddy. On the night when Vivekananda Reddy was murdered, Sunil Yadav visited the house of Avinash Reddy and Bhaskara Reddy.”

The CBI has strongly opposed the granting of bail to Sunil Yadav fearing that the accused would influence the witnesses or change the facts to alter the investigation if granted bail.
