ease of living index AmaravatiCentre for Science and Environment (CSE) has come out with a list of the most livable cities in India (as per the Ease of Living Index, 2020). Only three capital cities of India – Bengaluru, Chennai, and Delhi, are the three capitals that found a place in the Top 10.

Hyderabad is missing in the Top 10 list which is based on the Ease of Living Index, Quality of Life, Economic ability, Sustainability, and Citizen perception survey. While Hyderabad is not ranked in the Top 10, Amaravati – the capital of Andhra Pradesh is not even considered for the ranking.

With the Government not interested in Amaravati anymore, obviously the capital will not fare in any of the above-mentioned indexes. In fact, it is a great favor that Amaravati is not considered because it will rank at the rock bottom of the table because of the neglect of the Government.

Forget about Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh remains a state with no capital. The Government does not want the existing capital and the capital(s) the government wants do not get legal sanctity.
