Sec Bad contonement electionsThe counting for the Secunderabad Cantonment elections started a short while ago. A shocker was delivered to the congress party very early in the counting. Former Union Minister Sarve Satyanarayana’s daughter Suhasini lost the election to TRS candidate Kesava Reddy.

This is an indication that people are yet to excuse Congress party. Sarve contested the 2014 elections for Malkajgiri MP segment and came a distant third, by not securing half of the votes of the winner, Mallareddy of TDP.

All the political parties have taken this elections very seriously but Secunderabad Cantonment recorded among the lowest voter turnouts compared to 57 other cantonments which went to polls on Sunday. The voting percent was just 44.4 per cent as compared to 54 per cent during 2008 elections.
