After Japan and Singapore, Canada is keen to collaborate with Andhra Pradesh on various fronts in the development of the state. The Canadian pensions fund is already spending `1.5 billion to develop the infrastructure in India.
And now several leading Canadian firms are interested to offer their expertise in infrastructure, metro rail, logistics, engineering, real estate and other sectors and building smart towns and cities in Andhra Pradesh with the focus on Vijayawada surroundings where the state government is planning a world class capital.
Canadian government is also planning to make tie-ups with the educational institutions in AP, by providing opportunities for the students to study half of their higher studies in Canada.The country’s consul general Sydney Frank on Wednesday met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and expressed his country’s willingness to help the state in all the spheres.
