Former CBI Joint Director Lakshmi Narayana has taken Voluntary Retirement recently and there are reports that he will be joining mainstream politics. There are speculations that Lakshmi Narayana may join Janasena or BJP.
Some reports also suggest he may float a new party. But BJP leaders are confidently claiming that he is their man. Assuming it to be true, the big question now is if the former CBI Joint Director can really change the fortunes of BJP in the state.
BJP is never in contention in Andhra Pradesh but the party has been harbouring high hopes on Modi wave to make it big for them. With those hopes, they have even forced TDP out of NDA. But then, it is not easy for Lakshmi Narayana. The leaders who are previously in the party will find it tough to work under the new leadership.
But then things have gone worse with the Special Status issue in AP. Also, a former bureaucrat will also have tough time to survive in the electoral politics. We have already seen that happening with Loksatta Jayaprakash Narayana. So, it is not easy for the former CBI Joint Director to lead the party or impress the people!
