BJP claims to be working on a strategy to come to power in Telangana in 2019 including a plan to defeat Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi. BJP is said to be working on the anti-incumbency of Asaduddin Owaisi who is a three-time Lok Sabha member from Hyderabad and chief of AIMIM.
BJP is planning to replicate Uttar Pradesh model in all the seven constituencies that come under Hyderabad. BJP is planning to field one of its tallest leaders on this seat. Amit Shah is slated to visit Telangana in the second week of next month
BJP hopes that the defections being encouraged by TRS will emerge as “self-goal” in 2019 elections, as it has today three to four leaders vying for tickets in each Assembly segment. BJP hopes that TRS leaders will defeat themselves.
