Telangana Congress New In-Charge, Kuntia has confirmed that the current President, Uttam Kumar Reddy has the confidence of Rahul Gandhi and will lead the party to 2019 elections. Kuntia also announced that the candidates for 2019 elections six months before.
Opposition Party announcing candidates before six months will have its own share of advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is that the candidates will have enough time to connect to their constituencies while the disadvantage is that other parties will get time to prepare according to the candidate.
There is also a danger of TRS unleashing Operation Akarsha on the candidates which will defeat the actual purpose. Congress is desperate to win the upcoming election at any cost but like in every state of the country, Telangana prospects are also looking bleak.
