cab-drivers-conflict-for-telangana-governmentThe new year has seen Telangana Cab Drivers revolting against Cab Aggregator Majors – Uber and Ola. They are alleging that the corporate companies who lured them into buying new cabs promising lucrative pay cheques are no longer caring for them and leading them to debt traps.

Cab Drivers associations allege that the government is shying away from its moral responsibility to tell the cab aggregators to resolve the issue without destroying the cab drivers. They are alleging that the government is on the side of the corporates and have preferred to disown the debt-ridden drivers despite their protests and hunger strike led by the drivers.

But then it is a tough decision for Telangana government to make. Taking the cabbies side will give an impression that the government is not co-operative to the investors. At the same time, it can not ignore the cab drivers who are majorly the middle class and lower middle class.
