Christian evangelist, Brother Anil Kumar has been touring Andhra Pradesh in the name of reaching out to the sections that supported the YSR Congress in the 2019 elections but feel neglected afterward.
He addressed closed-door gatherings in Vijayawada and Vishakapatnam. He admitted before the media that there is pressure on him to float a new political party in Andhra Pradesh.
But he cautiously spoke to the media and did not commit to starting a party.
Now, he is going to tour Rayalaseema very soon.
His supporters say some former Ministers, MLAs, Ex-IAS officers, and Ex-IPS officers are in talks with him and are keen to join his party if floated.
Rayalaseema is the stronghold of the YSR Congress. The reception Anil Kumar gets on this tour has to be seen.
If at all, Anil starts a new party or if Sharmila’s party comes to AP, the party is likely to influence a portion of the Christian and Reddy voters who are until now big support of YSR Congress.
