Scientists of London have a major breakthrough in the fight against AIDS. So far a patient infected by AIDS should live on drugs till his death. The HIV virus that causes AIDS inserts its deadly genome permanently into the victims’ DNA. But the scientists have found a method to remove the genome from the human cells which will be very useful to the permanent cure of AIDS. The researchers say the discovery is not yet ready to go to clinics.

They have employed a technique called cell repair which will snip out the deadly genome from human cells and later solders the cells. There are more than 33 Millions of AIDS victims across the World. This technique will involve treat each of the millions of cells in the human body one after the other. Obviously the process should be very slow and costly. So the researchers are working in the direction to modify it to suit the clinical treatments.
