Breaking Point Time for TRS - BJP Relations!Telangana Assembly Secretary Sadaram has forwarded the Reservations Bill passed in the state to the Union Home Department. It will be scrutinized by the Department and will be forwarded to the President of India for the final approval.

This process will be put TRS and BJP relationships under a test as both the parties are at loggerheads on this issue. The Bill if passed will allow 12% Reservations to Muslims and 10% Reservations to Scheduled Tribes. But BJP is opposing reservations based on religion.

These Reservations increase the total reservations in the state more than the mandated 50%. Telangana government wants the Center to put this into the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution which will make it immune to the 50% Rule. Tamil Nadu has bypassed the 50% Rule in a similar way.

If Center stops the reservations, TRS will throw the blame on BJP led Central government and go to the elections and that will be the breaking point for the relations of TRS and BJP. If Center passes that, it will be the greatest help Center can do to TRS and that also indicates TRS and BJP will go together in future.
