The Just Concluded Five States Elections once again revealed that Modi Wave is well intact. Narendra Modi is undoubtedly the most popular politician in the country post Indira Gandhi. From Opposition to media, no one really estimated this wave in favor of BJP.
But then, if there are two leaders who foresaw this wave, they are the Chief Ministers of both the Telugu States. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was under severe pressure to break the alliance with BJP after Modi government went back on various promises made to AP including the Special Status.
On the other side, KCR also toned down a bit and only tried to maintain good relations with the Center. From calling Modi a fascist, he went on to greet him as country’s favorite leader. Both the chief ministers have guessed in advance the Modi wave.
They are well aware that Modi is all set for another term and they will have political needs, as well as financial needs from BJP, led central government. So, they have kept their egos aside and are maintaining good terms with the center. Both the Chandras Political Stalwarts for no reason!
