The counting for Nandhyal By-Election will happen on Monday and the results will be announced on the same day. The election victory will emerge as a huge morale booster for whichever party wins the election. TDP has kept BJP aside for this election as Muslims are decisive there and the alliance will only prove counter-productive.
Exit Polls are currently in favor of TDP and BJP is rushing to take credit in case of a TDP win. BJP Leaders and Cadre claim that the Central government opposed Triple Talaq in Supreme Court and managed to get a ban imposed on it.
They claim that as a result Muslim women voted en-masse to BJP’s alliance partner, TDP and helped it win. If at all Muslim women have really impressed by BJP, with the kind of relationship both the parties are having, the votes transfer is unlikely. If TDP loses the election, BJP will be silent as always.
