On Friday, a BJP delegation led by state chief Kanna Lakshminarayana visited the Polavaram Project Site and expressed its unhappiness over the lack of progress in the last four months. The State Unit will now meet Union Jal Shakti minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Sunday and request him to take over the Project from the State.
Kanna alleges that the Jagan Mohan Reddy government has wasted time by terminating the previous contract and going in for reverse tendering, citing corruption. Political Experts see that this is a precursor before BJP showing its true colors to Jagan.
