BJP Topples Congress Government in Madhya PradeshBJP seems to have successfully toppled yet another Congress Government. The Kamalnath Government in Madhya Pradesh is on the verge of collapsing. Jyothiraditya Scindia manufactured a split in the party by moving Seventeen of the MLAs supporting him to Bengaluru.

Scindia met Union Home Minister Amit Shah this morning and later, both of them went to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As soon as the meeting got concluded, Scindia tendered resignation to the Congress Party. Scindia is hoping to become the Chief Minister but Congress High Command preferred Kamalnath.

He at least wanted to go to Rajya Sabha but Congress High Command did not allow that. BJP rightly used the displeasure in Scindia to topple the Government. Congress has to blame itself more than anyone else for this mess. Just for the sake of one Rajya Sabha seat, they are on the verge of losing a state.

While the Congress, which was voted to power in Madhya Pradesh after 15 years in 2018, has 114 MLAs, the opposition BJP has 107 legislators. Four Independent MLAs, two lawmakers of the Bahujan Samaj Party and one legislator of the Samajwadi Party are supporting the Congress-led state government.
