kishan-reddy

Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy has categorically stated that his party will go all alone in the upcoming Greater Hyderabad Muncipal Corporation (GHMC). He said BJP will contest in all the wards with out alliance with any party. The saffron party in last elections competed in alliance with TDP. Kishan Reddy opposed the move from the start and even tried to create several hurdles for the alliance.

Later on he managed to get about 45% of seats in Telangana but just won 5 of them. Since then Kishan Reddy has been attributing his party’s failure due to the alliance with TDP. This may not be a wise decision as TDP enjoys good popularity among the settlers in Hyderabad. Votes may be split between TDP and BJP which may benefit other parties. However, even few BJP leaders are saying Kishan Reddy is not a decisive power in this regard and will only carry out the decision of the high command just like in the case of General elections.
