BJP in both the Telugu States have ambitious plans about the expansion but seem to have misplaced their priorities. The state wings of the party are pursuing their opposition role according to the ideology of the party which is not much suited to the people here. As we all know, Hindutva is the root ideology of BJP, the state wings are riding their work on that.
The biggest agitation BJP leaders did in AP is about the demolishing of Temples in Vijayawada for roads widening. The agitation did not garner much support from the commoners as they see the need to move the temples hampering the city development. And in Telangana, the party is in a clear opposition position but is not taking up any major agitation.
The party is running a signature campaign against MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi’s decision to provide legal aid to the youths arrested by the NIA on charges of sympathising with the dreaded terror group ISIS. This has become a major issue for BJP leaving aside all the problems faced by the people. No wonder the party is struggling in both the states!
