BJP Targets To Bring The Senior Leader Out Of Retirement?Andhra Pradesh BJP which has got a rude shock in Telangana after its candidate losing deposit in the Tirupati by-election is slowly trying to be back on its feet. The party is looking to admit leaders of other parties to strengthen the party in the constituencies where it has no presence.

Accordingly, the party is eyeing Raghuveera Reddy from Rayalaseema. Raghuveera Reddy shined in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh as a cabinet minister. He took over the reins of the Congress party after the state formation but led the party to defeats.

He resigned after the 2019 elections defeat and is staying away from active politics. He is more into agriculture and devotion these days. BJP state leaders are keen on meeting him and convince him to join the party. Raghuveera Reddy won three consecutive assembly elections and served as the MLA of Madakasira for two terms and Kalyandurg for a term.

He served as Minister for Agriculture in Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy’s cabinet and has held the portfolio of Revenue in Kiran Kumar Reddy Government.
