Ever Since TDP walked out of NDA, BJP High Command is baying for its blood. The party is of the opinion that TDP and BJP shares similar Vote Bank in Andhra Pradesh and the Saffron Party can only grow if the Cycle Party is ousted from the State.
BJP has come out with a Strategy to erode the Vote Bank of Telugu Desam Party. Accordingly, YSR Congress will be attracting some caste Voters (Reddys, Christians, and Dalits) while Janasena will take care of the Kapu Community. BJP will as usually have the Vote Bank of the Brahmins.
Now, the party announced by Araku MP Kothapalli Geetha is targeting the Voters in ST Communities. Even though such parties rarely succeed, BJP’s strategy is that even the minor chunk of votes they get will be deciding factor in close contests. All these parties appear to have indirect affiliation to the BJP.
BJP has deployed a similar strategy in Karnataka as well and is successful to Kill Congress’ chances in many constituencies. Similar Strategy is being used in Andhra Pradesh as well. It has to be seen how it works and if BJP can really dethrone Chandrababu Naidu in 2019.
