Somu VeerrajuIt is emerging that BJP high command is looking to appoint Senior Leader and MLC, Somu Veerraju as the next Party President for Andhra Pradesh. Somu Veerraju is one BJP leader who always do not see eye to eye with TDP. He hails from the dominant Kapu community and is said to be close to Janasena President, Pawan Kalyan.

His appointment will deliver a clear message for TDP that BJP wants to contest alone in the coming election and wants to strengthen itself in the truncated state severing ties with TDP is the only way out. And for that Somu Veerraju will be elevated. The second option with the party high command is Endowments minister, Manikyala Rao. Though not vocal, Manikyala Rao also do not enjoy good terms with TDP government.

The party is planning to appoint the state committee by October 15th and the election for the party president will happen in December. The current state President and Vishakapatnam MP, Haribabu failed to make any effect on the party position in the state according to the high command.
