BJP - Janasena Hoping to Grow on Chandrababu and Jagan's WeaknessesBJP High Command has appointed its Senior Leader and MLC Somu Veerraju as the President of its Andhra Pradesh Unit. Somu Veerraju who is yet to take charge is busy giving interviews to various News Channels and has been making tall claims about coming to power in 2024 elections.

BJP could not even compete with NOTA in the last elections. This time they got help from Janasena which managed around 8% in the last elections. There are no changes of Janasena’s fortunes ever since the election if not they actually depleted.

So these claims of Veerraju appear very exaggerated. How could he make such a promise? BJP seems to be banking on the weaknesses of Chandrababu and Jagan for that. BJP along with Congress is responsible for the Bifurcation. But the Saffron Party escaped it in the name of Special Status and Delhi like Capital.

After coming to power, Narendra Modi let down Andhra Pradesh in both the fronts. However, BJP is hoping that the issues will not corner them further. “Chandrababu is seeking BJP’s support to prevent the Vendetta Politics of Jagan. At the same time, with numerous cases, Jagan will not offend the BJP bosses. So, Special Status issue will be buried helping BJP,” a Political Analyst says.

“Delhi like Capital is already gone because of three capitals. So, there are no commitments of BJP to Andhra Pradesh,” he adds. However, the problem of BJP in Andhra Pradesh is not just about Special Status or the Capital. The ideology of BJP does not suit to South India. They are hoping that alliance with Janasena will mask that. Let us see what happens in 2024!
