Somu VeerrajuBJP State Unit of Andhra Pradesh is taken back with TDP’s sudden shift towards Hindutva. When the Antarvedi Chariot Burning issue happened, BJP saw it as a Golden Opportunity to penetrate into the state and also expected TDP to maintain its Secular Face.

But Chandrababu Naidu surprised them by taking up the issue. At this juncture, BJP State President Somu Veerraju and Party’s Co-Incharge, Sunil Deodhar have started saying that TDP does not have the right to talk about Hindutva since 30 Temples were demolished in a road-widening project during their regime and due to the accident in Godavari Pushkaralu.

But then, all these are empty allegations since BJP is the part of the Andhra Pradesh Government when this happened. Moreover, dissuading other political parties from participating in the Hindutva movement is nothing but doing a disservice to the actual cause.

“BJP trying to undermine TDP in this issue will portray them as weakening the cause. That will only showcase BJP as trying to use the issue for its political benefit. The more BJP try to attack TDP on this issue, the more it exposes the party to the people,” Political Experts say.
