BJP which fell short of a handful of seats for the Simple Majority in Karnataka is not keen on letting go Power to the coalition of Congress and JDS and at the same time does not want to leave the Chief Minister Post to HD Kumaraswamy.
So the party is keen on poaching MLAs from Congress and JDS. The party is talking to Congress’ DK Shivakumar offering him the Deputy Chief Minister Post. A few JDS MLAs are already missing in the camp and are said to be bargaining with BJP.
JDS has lent its support to Congress and laid stake for the forming of the next government in Karnataka. BJP is also laying the stake as the Single Largest Party. Both the sides are awaiting the Governor’s decision now. The Governor being a RSS Man is likely to help BJP as much as he can.
