The United States has become the Epicenter of the Coronavirus cases in the World. Across the globe, there are around 20,00,000 confirmed cases and around 6,00,000 of them are in the United States itself. The country already lost about 25,000 people to this contagious virus.
However, the country is still hesitant to impose a complete lockdown. Only Social Distancing norms and Stay at home orders were prescribed. The rules as such are different in various states and in some places, they differ from county to county. The country’s administration is already talking about resuming the economy in May First Week.
Here is a fine example of the non-seriousness. Florida had recognized World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) as ‘Essential Business’. It is placed alongside essential businesses like grocery stores and pharmacies. The Government there claims it is now more important than ever to provide people with a diversion from these hard times.
A developing economy like India was put under complete shutdown for three weeks now and it is already extended for another 19 days. This approach may be utter disregard to the health of the Civilians in the United States. No wonder the cases are on a rise.
