Reality has dawned on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The Chief Minister is known for his autocratic attitude and does not care for the party leaders and cadre.
Jagan has the habit of doing everything and anything unilaterally and expects no dissent.
Disciple, fear, or whatever Jagan hoped that it would be forever like that.
But then, things changed drastically when there are signs of anti-incumbency.
Jagan had unilaterally removed some leaders from the cabinet. The list also includes some seniors and loyalists.
He did not even bother to call and convince them thinking that there would be no dissent.
We have seen Mekathoti Sucharita resign as MLA and Balineni also heading in the same direction.
Cadres of Sucharita, Balineni, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, Pinelli Ramakrishna Reddy, Karnam Dharmasri, Samineni Udaya Bhanu, are protesting on roads.
The people’s representatives of the constituencies are resigning as a mark of protest. This is something Jagan did not expect.
Party leaders support their supremos when they have the support of the people. Once that is on the decline and once they feel there is a danger for the government, they tend to defy the party line.
That is the biggest worrying factor for Jagan.
