Bi-election in Allagadda if Shobha Nagi Reddy wins!

The Election Commission of India had written a letter to YSR Congress Party over Allagadda election issue. EC stated that if Shobha Nagi Reddy gets maximum number of votes in the current election, a bi-election will be conducted in the same constituency. Earlier there were news that the votes polled to Shobha Nagireddy will be considered as NOTA votes and the candidate with second highest number of votes will be winning the election.

YSR Congress had written a letter for election commission to clarify on this and EC took the above decision. It is known that YSR Congress leader and the party’s candidate, Shobha Nagi Reddy lost her life in a road accident couple of days ago. As the nominations time is already over, YSR Congress could not field a new candidate now and at the same time rules will not permit to remove Shobha’s name from the EVMs.
