Beware! One-Third of Indians Still in HotspotsThe government of India had extended the Lockdown by two more weeks. That means the Lockdown will be on till May 17th. The Central Government allowed some relaxations in Green and Orange Zones but the Red Zones are under the Complete Lockdown till May 17th.

Interestingly, 130 districts are placed under Red Zone. When compared to the last time, the Red Zones have decreased but the increase in Orange Zone will worry us. 130 districts under Red Zones means that around 400 million people in the country are living in hot spots.

That is around One-Third of the total population in India. This is the prime reason for the Lockdown to be extended. Half of these people are in four states itself. In the states of Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal, there are 21 Crore people living in the hotspots.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of cases in the country are 37,336‬. Meanwhile, the total recoveries have reached the 10,000 mark.
