Battered Hotel Industry Open Their Rooms to Battle COVID19 OutbreakCorona Crisis has confined Indians to indoors. All the businesses have collapsed. About 45,000 hotel rooms across the country belonging to ITC, Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), The Lalit, Lemon Tree, and others have opened their doors in these difficult times.

Tourism Ministry is in touch with the industry associations to facilitate the same. Some of the rooms are being provided on a pro bono basis, while others are being charged at a discounted rate. Tourists stuck in India after International flight operations were stalled have also been accommodated in some of these rooms.
