One of the most infamous moves of the YS Jagan-led AP government was to change the name of the NTR university. There was a huge uproar from the common public and also from the TDP troops over the decision.
Now, Balakrishna himself has come down heavily on the Jagan government over the NTR name change incident.
“NTR was the one who bought social reforms in Andhra Pradesh. He took down class disparity and bought in special reservations for women in elections. He is a leader sans any political intentions. But this YCP government made a senseless implementation of changing the NTR university name.” Balayya said.
Balayya added that it is distraught on the YCP government’s part to change the name of the university. NTR is the pride of the Telugu community globally. If they think changing the name of the university from NTR is their win, they are a senseless bunch, Balayya concluded.
