It is known that YSR Congress MP Avinash Reddy, who is facing charges in Viveka’s murder case, has filed an anticipatory bail petition in the High Court.
The CBI, which has recently filed a counter in the High Court, has revealed key facts about the investigation of the murder case.
“Avinash Reddy needs to be arrested and questioned in custody. He is maliciously not cooperating with the investigation and is skipping answers. He is not telling the facts. He is giving answers in a way to mislead the investigation,” the CBI said.
The investigating agency urged the court not to give the anticipatory bail.
“The anticipatory bail petition was filed in an attempt to escape from the investigation. Avinash Reddy should be taken into custody and interrogated,” the investigating agency told the court.
Going by what CBI is saying, the arrest looks imminent. The Supreme Court already rapped the High Court on this issue and so, it is unlikely that the court will grant him anticipatory bail.
It looks like it is a matter of time before Avinash will go behind bars.
