Atmakur Bypoll: Two Factions Of YCP Pelt Stones At Each OtherThe in-fightings within YSR Congress got exposed right in the middle of the Atmakur bypoll campaign.

YSRCP candidate Mekapati Vikram Reddy‘s election campaign was marred by clashes between two factions of the same party in Chautabhimavaram village in AS Peta Mandal of Atmakuru constituency in Nellore district.

Mekapati Vikram Reddy started his campaign in Chautabhimavaram on Saturday. Village Sarpanch Lakshminarasaiah boarded the campaign vehicle. Thirumala Naidu of the same party and others objected.

Against this backdrop, a clash arose between Murali, a Sarpanch’s supporter, and Thirumala Naidu.

With this, both sides threw stones at each other.

This happened when candidate Mekapati Vikramreddy and Thambalpalli MLA Peddireddy Dwarakanathreddy were on the campaign vehicle.

The Mekapati convoy, which had already campaigned in some streets of the village, moved to Doobagunta, a neighboring village, for campaigning.

Atmakuru CI Venugopal Reddy and AS Peta SI Subhan, who received information about the clash, sent away both the parties.

The police deployed CRPF security in Chautabhimavaram village. CRPF forces conducted a parade through the streets of the village.
