Assembly Elections to be postponed!

Andhra Pradesh usually is going to elections along with Parliament elections for the last few terms. This term should have been the same but this is going to change due to the ongoing bifurcation issue. Even though the Telangana Bill is passed, there are some formalities to be completed before the states getting separated. This process is expected to take 3-4 months time. Previously it took 4 months time for Chattisgarh to get separated.

However Parliament elections will take place as usually in the two regions along with the states. Election Commission of India will have the final deciding authority in this issue. Some high profile sources in media say to postpone Assembly elections, Congress led UPA Government is tilting more towards Presidents Rule than appointing new Chief Minister in the state. The notification for General elections is expected to come by the first week of March.
