The special session of the assembly began on Friday but got adjourned on both Friday and Saturday with out discussion. As soon as the house started, Seemandhra MLAs stormed the speaker podium for United AP resolution where as their Telangana counterparts demanded for the immediate discussion and forwarding the bill to the President of the India.

Both the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and Opposition Leader Chandra Babu Naidu are in the house in these days but remained as mere spectators. Things were not any different in Council either. Similar scenes continued there and adjournments happened there too. On the other side, January 23rd is the last date given by the President of India for the assembly to send its opinion on the bill. The house can ask for an extension but it is the sole discretion of the President to grant it or not.
