Ashok Gajapathi Raju, the Union Civil Aviation Minister from TDP is one of the founding members of TDP and is known to be a loyal man of CM Chandrababu Naidu. He was given a Cabinet Rank Ministry in Union Cabinet by Chandrababu even though there is intense competition in the party.
But then, YSR Congress’ Sakshi Media House has been airing some news about a possible rift between Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Chandrababu for the last few days. There are even reports that he will join BJP if TDP and BJP alliance is broken.
They wrote in return Ashok Gajapathi Raju will be sent as a Governor and his daughter will be given Vizianagaram MP seat. Along with a series of events, the recent cancellation of Bhogapuram Airport Tenders irked Ashok wrote Sakshi. But Ashok condemned those indirectly saying that it was he who recommended canceling the tenders.
But Sakshi’s Propaganda continued about the rift. Ashok Gajapathi Raju chose the ongoing Partnership Summit to rubbish those rumours. Addressing the summit, the Union Minister called Chandrababu as ‘My Friend, My Leader, My Inspiration’. He narrated the ordeals of the state after bifurcation and how Chandrababu is working round the clock to bring the state to the center stage. This should have answered several questions.
