As Jagan Enstrangles, KCR Gives HopeTollywood is gearing up for what promises to be an exhilarating 2-month period as biggies like Akhanda, Pushpa, RRR, Radhe Shyam, Bheemla Nayak, and others are lined up for release. But things aren’t looking all that hopeful for Telugu cinema, given the restrictions imposed by the government of Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Pradesh government recently passed a new cinematography bill which caps the cinema ticket prices and also dismisses the prospect of extra shows for big-ticket film. This greatly affects the theatrical prospects of Telugu biggies. On the other hand, the Telangana government is reviving the hopes of Tollwood.

The Telangana government has granted permission for special shows for tomorrow’s release Akhanda all across the state. The same might continue for forthcoming A-lister films as well. Also, Telangana high court permitted a Rs 50 hike in cinema ticket prices. This will boost the box office revenues of big films.

While Jagan government is enstrangling Tollywood with unprecedented restrictions, KCR government is reviving the hopes of the film industry by permitting special shows and permitting ticket price hikes.

Now, all Tollywood can do is hope for Jagan to show some mercy and provide the industry with the necessary support.
