Arvind Kejriwal Issued Arrest Warrant for Commenting on Narendra ModiAravind Kejriwal, the Cheif Minister of Delhi has been issued a bailable arrest warrant by Assam court as he fails to appear in the court twice by now. The court has taken this step upon receiving a petition from Kejriwal’s lawyer, Gurpreet Singh Uppal, stating that it is not possible for Kejriwal to step out of Delhi due to municipal elections.

The court seemed to be annoyed by the same and immediately issued a bailable warrant of Rs. 10,000 arrest rejecting the petition and the next hearing is on May 8. The case in the first place was filed by BJP leader Surya Rongphar against Kejriwal last year in December for passing defamation comments on Narendra Modi.

Kejriwal last year tweeted that Modi is just a 10th pass and his degrees later are fake. Police upon receiving the complaint registered a criminal defamation case against Kejriwal for which he failed to appear in court and now has been given a warrant for the same.
