to-have-two-capitals

The primary cause of the separate state agitation and the later hesitance of Seema Andhra people to abide to the sentiment of Telangana people is the centralization of wealth only in Hyderabad. The expert committee formed to decide the capital of the residuary Andhra Pradesh is thinking on the lines of having two capitals for the state. Primarily they have decided to have one each capital in Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema.

There are vast social, cultural and economical differences between Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema. This kind of decision of having two capials will also eradicate a possible new state demand in future. Coming to Hyderabad, there is a severe shortage of lands for the expansion of the city with the growing needs of the people. This kind of arrangement will also solve the problem to an extent.

The committee is currently inviting suggestions about a possible capital place from the general public. They will be starting a tour to identify the capital after the elections. They will study logistics, availability of water, earthquake vulnerability, cultural ambiance and pollution aspects before finalizing the suitable area.
